Racism has no place in the world we’re building for young children and families.

We condemn the recent surge of violence and racist acts against our Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, whose members are our parents, grandparents, children, child care providers, health care workers, home visitors, beloved neighbors, coworkers, and friends. We pledge to use our anger and frustration at these acts to spur forward our work to dismantle the systemic factors that hold racism, discrimination, and inequity in place, and to cut racist violence at its root. We will keep working arm in arm with families and partners in our communities so that every child in our state thrives and grow up in a world that is safe for all, with equal opportunity, shared prosperity, and strong communities.
